The PPRC has commends the Political Parties and their supporters for adhering to the principles of peaceful and fair campaigning throughout the election period.
According to PPRC Despite the intensity of the campaigns, there have been no reports of significant incidents or breaches of the peace in Freetown.
As Tuesday 20th June marks the end of all campaigns in Freetown for Political Parties and Wednesday 21st June the last day in the campaign calendar, is for independent candidates.
The Commission calls on all political parties to show respect for the rights of independent candidates and refrain from engaging in any actions that may impede their ability to campaign freely and effectively.
The PPRC also extends its advice to residents of Freetown who do not support independent candidates. It is essential for all residents to recognize and respect the rights of independent candidates to conduct their last campaigns.
