Former Vice President of Sierra Leone, Chief Alhaji Samuel Sam-Sumana together with former Freetown Mayor, Franklyn Bode-Gibson and Hon. Dauda Tombo Bangura has visited and sympathised with Diana Konomanyi after thugs burnt her house in Kono.
“I appreciate you all for the visit although my house is gone but your presence here has brought solace to my heart,” she said.
Reports have indicated that Konomanyi’s house on Komba Ngenga Street was set on fire by unknown persons using locally made bombs.
A-Z Newspaper reported that Konomanyi’s house was set ablaze because she secretly switched over to the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).
But the elder brother of the former APC Minister, Tamba Konomanyi said the rumours are untrue but said her sister was displeased with statements by an APC senior member questioning her importance.
Police are currently investigating the matter as the brother and other relevant sources have been interviewed.
