In an interview with BBC, Dr. Mathew Wilson Kamara explains the possible outcome if the Electoral commission Of Sierra Leone boss, Mohamed Konneh and other commissioners do not resign their post. This came up after the All People’s Congress flagbearer in a press conference give ultimatum for all commissioners to resign because of the manner in which they have been manning the activities towards the June 24th 2023 general elections.
Dr. Samura Kamara when replying to the question raised by the BBC journalist of his reaction after the expiration of the 72 hours ultimatum, he said that he will call on his fellow comrades to discuss on their next plan.
He added that they will not like the country to go into any violence so they will imply the ECSL follow due process by doing the necessary thing to provide free and fair elections.
Mohamed Konneh on the other hand of the same interview said that he will not resign including his colleagues commissioners will also not resign.
The 72 hours has expired today and everyone awaits the reaction of the opposition APC.

We strongly support ECSL’s boss’ decision to remain in his legally appointed position with his personnel. Samura and his supporters are poised to derail economic and educational progress in the country as evident by some of their poor grammar in their comments here. We vehemently say no to Samura and APC! No way, no how!!

I am kindly asking the APC leader Dr samura kamara to keep the peace of the nation and let the ECSL commissioners konneh and others to continue the election process as we are approaching the polling date meaningful sierra leoneans want to peacefully exercises their rights and move on.
Samura Kamara wants to make Sierra Leone so ungovernable for inoccent Sierra Leoneans and the war he is wishing for him and his people will never be. God never created you to be a president and in the first place you don’t have leadership qualities and you don’t have the charisma to lead Sierra Leoneans. During the time of Ernest Bai Koroma 2012 election when the SLPP were not satisfied with Christiana Thorpe as commissioner but the APC said they want her and they were well pleased with her and she did everything in the favour of them. Why can’t you leave the people to rule? Were you not satisfied with the eleven years you ruled for and all the stealings you did?
You talking about bread and butter whilst other nations are moving forward with good initiatives and you are still satisfying the stomach. Let’s tie our stomach and think of development and legacies to leave with our children coming behind us. Satisfying the stomach you can’t get nothing to show your children tomorrow.

Those who are saying they are ready to die probably never witnessed the 12 years of war. We must remember that the international community is overwhelmed with putting out fires in many nations around the world and there is economic hardship all over the world. If we willfully enter into armed conflict, help will not come soon and the suffering people are complaining now will seem like heaven when the hardship of war hits. So my people let’s keep the peace please. Politics is a game. Don’t take it too personal.

It has come to the notice that their is nothing like democracy in this country because the way things are going is like even the election they are about to conduct is just a protocol observe but nothing like voting can determine the president sir if Bio win this time I strongly believe that presidential regime is ten years in this country nothing can convince me about that I rest my case here
All I know is that APC is not prepared for the election and if that is really true then let them confess that to president Bio. Am sure as a very nice man he will still consider them. Let Samura and his bandits stop threatening the people of Sierra Leone with demonstration. If you unlawfully demonstrate, you face the full force of the law as no one is above the law.
How can an election done in this manner without the people’s voice being heard. This is uncalled for and let put Sierra Leone first
People of Sierra Leone, there is peace where the truth is been said. The truth is the only thing that can save this nation now. How many political parties are going for the elections, if the one side didn’t agree with the referee. The game must be cancelled or another referee must be selected and the game continue that can save peace.

Are the members of APC the only people in Sierra Leone? What about SLPP supports and other political parties are they not part of Sierra Leone. I want to let the APC supporters to know that they have no monopoly over violence but others have self control and i also want them to know that they are in minority interms of genuine election in this country APC will never win an election in this country. Haven said that APC is the only party that is not comfortable with the electoral commissioners out of thirteen twelve others are comfortable. My friend go to hell we will not discomfort twelve to satisfy one. Eleven or twelve other parties are okay with the system or their tools while one is not okay with his own tool let them go back to the drawing board and do their home work. The country should not be hold to ransom for just one violent party. We have to move ahead Period.
