The leader of the main opposition All Peoples Congress Party (APC) Samura Kamara has sent his condolence message to the family of the late Dalton Frederick Shears.

He referred to the late man as a giant and visionary politician who is worthy to be remembered by all-former MP, former Minister of several portfolios, and former Board Member at the Bank of Sierra Leone for his great service to humanity.

Losing a great and inspirational icon in our lives can be devastating, and finding words to console the bereaved, in particular, members of the All People’s Congress (APC) party and persons like me, whose lives he directly impacted, is overwhelmingly challenging.

“With the passing of Mr. D F Shears, we bid farewell to a remarkable individual whose legacy transcends borders and generations. As a dedicated public servant and astute political leader, he navigated the complexities of governance and finance with integrity and wisdom.”

Peaking about his service in politics, he said the late man’s tenure as a Member of Parliament and minister exemplified his unwavering commitment to serving his constituents and country advocating for meaningful change, adding that his stewardship at the Bank of Sierra Leone reflected his profound understanding of economic and financial dynamics and his steadfast dedication to fostering prosperity for all.

He added that, the late man will be remembered for his compassion, humility, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of society. “His passing leaves a void in our hearts and in the fabric of our community. His legacy of service and leadership will continue to inspire us for years to come.”

“In this time of mourning, let us reflect on the profound impact Mr. D.F. Shears had on our lives and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values he held so dear. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to be a guiding light for us all.” He concluded.
