Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has expressed sorrow over the passing of the National Chairman of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, describing him as “a good man” with whom he worked closely over the years.
In a brief tribute, Dr. Sengeh confirmed the APC chairman’s death, noting their long-standing working relationship and extending condolences to his family and the opposition party.
“APC’s Chairman Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray passed on today. He was a good man. We worked very closely together over the years. RIP,” the Chief Minister wrote.
Hon. Mansaray, a veteran politician and one of the APC’s most influential figures, has been described within party circles as a stabilizing force who consistently advocated for unity, internal discipline, and stronger organizational cohesion, particularly during periods of political tension.
As National Chairman, he played a key role in guiding party operations and maintaining internal structures through challenging electoral cycles, earning respect across political lines for his leadership style and commitment to party organization.
The opposition APC has been plunged into mourning following the news of his passing, with tributes expected to continue from across the political spectrum in the coming days.
