The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has supported Regional Football Associations with 10,000 United States Dollars.

The money, which is equivalent to 185,000 New Leones will be used by regional football bodies across the country to develop the game.

“The said monies are a yearly token of support from SLFA to boost the functions and operations of the regional associations with specific reference to competitions organised within their respective localities,” the SLFA said in a press release on Saturday afternoon.

The National Football body admonished the regional bodies to use the fund for the said purpose.

Regional bodies are responsible for organising tier II and III football competitions across the country with support from the SLFA.
