Sierra Leone international Alhassan Koroma started for Bani Yas, but the hosts conceded a stoppage-time goal to lose 1-0 to Hatta in the ADNOC Pro League.

The winger has represented Sierra Leone 22 times, scoring three goals since his debut in 2018. He previously played for Spanish club Linense and has featured for the national team in Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifying campaigns.
