The Jurtus of Guinea Bissau have announced A 24 man squad list ahead of clash with Leone Stars of Sierra Leone on 11th September 2023 .

In Group A, Guinea Bissau and Nigeria  have already qualify for the 2024 TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations Tournament in Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile, Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has confirmed that the current Leone Star’s head coach, John Keister will take charge of the Leone Stars’ final Group A AFCON qualifier against Guinea Bissau in September.

The news came following rumors of the appointment of a new coach as the Technical Team contract is valid till the end of August 2023. following his appointment, the Technical team of the Sierra Leone national senior men’s team (Leone Stars) has invited 30 Home-based players to commence training on Monday, the 19th August, 2023 in preparation for the country’s next encounter against Guinea-Bissau in the ongoing 2023 TotalEnergies AFCON Qualifiers

Sierra Leone currently sits third in Group A and will be playing their final match to wrap up the AFCON qualifiers, despite having already gone out
