CAS Dismisses Aminata Bangura’s Appeal Against SLFA Ethics Board
Aminata Koroma The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed an appeal filed by Madam Aminata Bangura against a decision of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Ethics Board dated 19 July 2025.
CAS issued its Arbitral Award on 5 October 2026 in the case of CAS 2025/A/11613 Aminata Bangura v. Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), upholding the decision of the SLFA Ethics Board and dismissing Bangura’s appeal in its entirety.
The tribunal also ordered Bangura to bear the costs of the arbitration proceedings and to pay CHF 3,000 towards the SLFA’s legal costs and expenses.
The SLFA welcomed the decision, stating that it affirms the decisions of its judicial bodies and underscores the importance of integrity, transparency and compliance in football governance.
The Association said it remains committed to maintaining high standards of good governance and accountability in the administration of football in Sierra Leone.
