Hawa Dauda, a popular sports journalist, has been appointed as the Head of Media for the Sierra Leone Women’s National Under-20 Football Team by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).

Dauda works for Mercury Radio as a sports presenter and is well-known for her philanthropic activities. She has been providing learning materials for deprived children in vulnerable communities.

She is also the current Head of Media for the Female Premier League Board, where she has been very active in updating the public about the activities of the board and the female premier league.

Meanwhile, two senior officials, Madame Fatou Ndong (Assistant Secretary) and Mohamed Jiddou (Coordinator) from the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone-A, have recently arrived in Sierra Leone for a three-day working visit in preparation for this year’s U20 Female Tournament to be held in Bo and Kenema.

The tournament is expected to take place from Monday, May 22, to Saturday, June 3, 2023.
