Sierra Leonean striker Ishmael Dumbuya scored twice Watanga FC for his Liberian team, Liberian International Shipping and Corporate Registry (LISCR) FC to complete a treble this season.

Dumbuya netted his first goal in 77th minute after converting a pass from teammate, Christopher Jackson.

The Paynesville-based club, Watanga FC nearly levelled the scoring but the brilliance of goal-keeper Ashley Williams was enough to keep them at bay.

Things turned sour for the Paynesville Boys after Dumbuya recorded his second goal in the 82nd minute with another assist by Jackson.

The victory completed LISCR’s quest for a treble this season.

Dumbuya was prolific in the club’s success this season with 36 goal contributions in just 24 games. The striker found the net 19 times in the Liberian League while also recording 12 assists.

Football pundits in the Mano River Union have already predicted that the striker could win this year’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award for this season.

His performance has attracted foreign clubs and there are already reports that he could soon be plying his trade abroad.

Switsalone reported that the player’s outstanding form has also attracted attention from the Liberian FA who want to naturalise the striker.
