East End Lions Face Bo Rangers in Unity Cup Clash
East End Lions will face Bo Rangers at the Southern Arena in Bo on Sunday in a highly anticipated Unity Cup encounter.
The defending Unity Cup champions travelled to Bo on Saturday ahead of the match, with the club confirming that the team had arrived safely.
The fixture brings together two of Sierra Leone’s leading clubs, with Bo Rangers hoping to use home advantage against an East End Lions side looking to retain the trophy.
The Killers won the Unity Cup last year after beating Bhantal FC 2-0 in the final at the Southern Arena. They had also played the final in 2024, when they won against Bhantal on penalties after a 2-all draw in normal time.
Bo Rangers, meanwhile, go into the match after winning the Sierra Leone Premier League, while East End Lions secured the FA Cup during the 2025/26 season.
The match will also provide an early test for both teams as they prepare for the new domestic season.
East End Lions have named a 22-man squad for the encounter, including new Egyptian forward Magdy Gamal Fouda, who joined the club this week.

Head coach Patrick ‘Pato’ Bangura has included five strikers in the squad as the Lions look to begin their Unity Cup campaign with a strong performance.
The match will also serve as the first big test for Bo Rangers’ new coach Dominic Kanneh.

Kanneh could have the opportunity to test some of his new signings, including the Ram Kamara FC pair, Alya Soumah and Osman Conteh.
With two of the country’s biggest clubs meeting in Bo, the fixture is expected to attract major attention from football fans across Sierra Leone.
