The Sporting Director of Italian Serie C side FC Crotone, Fabio Massimo Conti, has revealed to the press that Sierra Leonean forward, Augustus Kargbo is an important figure in their plan for the 2022/2023 season.
In an interview with blastingnews.com, Massimo Conti lauded Kargbo for the quality he added to the team last season and they will like to keep him in the squad as one of their major attacking prospect.
Kargbo was described as one of the most improved and fittest player in the pre-season training. He is said to be an element on which the coach, Franco Lerda will be able to count on in the Serie C 2022-2023 league season.
“Kargbo? I deny that the boy is going out. Indeed, he is at the center of ours technical project. We focus a lot on him and he is not in question”.
“He is getting along well with both the coach and with his new teammates, among whom he enjoys high esteem. He is a very important figure also within the group, not only on the pitch, and I repeat that he is not going out “, Massimo Conti added.

Kargbo is one of the top Sierra Leonean players that is currently at the center of transfer’s speculations, but the Crotone Sports Director is optimistic that he will remain in Calabaria with the Sharks.
Meanwhile, over the past few weeks, it has been rumored on various websites, that Sporting de Charleroi in the Belgium Pro League, Italian Serie A side, U.S Cremonese and Serie B side FC Palermo have all showed interest to sign Kargbo.
