East End Lions has suffered a serious blow in the hands of FC Johansen Football Club. The defeat can be seen as a serious setback in the  Lion’s quest to attain the Sierra Leone Premier League title.

FC Johansen puzzled the second-place side and defending champions’ chance of retaining the league title after securing all three points away from home with a 1-0 win against East End Lions Football Club at the Makeni Wusum Field courtesy of Abu Bakarr Kabineh’s brilliant finish in the sixty-five minutes of the match.

Head Coach of FC Johansen Ibrahim Sillah who was a defender for East End Lions FC during his football career displayed his tactical skills throughout the match as his side becomes the first-ever team to prevent East End Lions Football Club from registering a goal in a match since the start of the second round.

Coach Sillah who suddenly resigned as Head Coach of East End Lions at the end of the first round with just two points behind the league leaders, decided to return to FC Johansen and is the first-ever coach to defeat his former side in the second round of the league.

Though East End Lions FC are now five points behind Bo Rangers with five more remaining games to climax the season, all is not lost as they still keep their hopes of winning the Sierra Leone premier league alive.
