In a strategic move to address concerns raised by their Ghanian opponents, FC Kallon Football Club recently announced a change in the venue for their upcoming home match against Dreams FC (Ghana) in the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary Round.

Originally scheduled to take place at the Southern Arena in Bo, Sierra Leone, the match will now be held at the Samuel Kay Doe (SKD) Stadium in Liberia. This change in venue comes as a result of protocol grounds set by the Confederation of African Football.

It’s important to note that the date of the match remains unchanged, and it will still be held on the 30th of September 2023.

FC Kallon’s General Manager, Tunde Scott, justified that their Ghanian opponent Dream FC had expressed concerns about the logistical challenges posed by the over 200-mile road journey from Freetown to the Southern Arena Stadium in Bo.

The Cavaliers made the decision to Change the venue to provide a more accessible location Dreams FC as a show of commitment to the spirit of Sportsmanship.

FC Kallon Football Club extends its sincere apologies for any inconvenience this venue change may have caused to their supporters, fans, and fellow Sierra Leoneans as they are determined to change their previous encounter in Ghana which they narrowly lost 2-1.
