Sierra Leone and JäPS defender, Hassan Sesay, has been banned for nine matches for being a dickhead against KTP earlier this month (two games for the red, seven for “violent and threatening behaviour and “Indecent and inappropriate language” towards the ref).

Sesay, who was in action in the KTP-JäPS match on September 9, allowed his emotions to ran high as he was booked for a direct red card after fighting first with the opponent and then with the referee. On Thursday, the Finnish Football Association after three weeks of investigations of the incident, they levy an additional seven-game suspension of the former Leone Stars defender.

With the domestic football season coming to an end in Finland, the said punishment will be carried over to the next season.

According to report, the decision was taken based on the reports of the referee and the match observer, as well as the summary

provided by Ruuttu, who made the broadcast. “The reason behind the decision was Sesay’s disrespectful and violent behavior towards both the players and the referee,” www.iltalehti.fi report.

The media further stated: “Those who follow JäPS games know that the behavior of Sesay, who also played for the Sierra Leone national team, did not come as a complete surprise, as he has been conspicuously against the referees’ decisions before during the season. The full-back, who turns 35 next month, has also played in the Veikkausliiga during his career.”
