Four Sierra Leonean Officials Earn CAF Appointment for AFCON 2027 Qualifier
Aaron Parker Four Sierra Leonean FIFA-badged referees have earned a continental appointment to officiate the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifying fixture between Mozambique and Sudan.
The Group J Matchday Two encounter is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo, Mozambique, as both teams continue their campaign for qualification.
Sulaiman S. Kamara has been appointed as the centre referee and will be assisted by fellow Sierra Leoneans Mamoud A. Conteh and Alusine Conteh, who will serve as Assistant Referees 1 and 2 respectively.
Rashid Mohamed Conteh completes the Sierra Leonean officiating team as the fourth official.
The appointment provides another opportunity for Sierra Leonean match officials to represent the country on the continental stage and contribute to the management of a major CAF qualifying fixture.
