Five thousand free tickets have been made available for Tuesday evening’s international friendly match between Liberia’s Lone Star and Sierra Leone’s Leone Stars, following a joint purchase by several Liberian state institutions.
The match kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia.
The tickets were acquired by the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company, the Liberia Maritime Authority, the National Oil Company of Liberia, and the Liberia Telecommunications Authority.
The institutions have purchased five thousand Around-the-Field tickets, which will be distributed free to the first five thousand supporters entering the stadium.
Fans can collect tickets from 1:00 p.m. at designated locations including the NP Gas Station opposite the SKD Sports Complex, Conex Rehab, Conex Congo Town, and Petro Trade at the SD Cooper Road Junction.
Regular stadium wing tickets are priced at US$5, while VIP tickets cost US$10. Access to the VVIP section remains complimentary.
Sierra Leone’s Leone Stars held an intensive training session at the same venue on Monday, witnessed by Sierra Leone Football Association First Vice President Alie Badara Tarawallie, Second Vice President Prince Saquee, Minister of Sports Madame Augusta James-Teima, and other officials. Newly appointed Leone Stars Head Coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa also attended the session as he begins his transition into the national team setup.
Both teams are expected to attract a large turnout of supporters at the SKD Sports Complex this evening.
