The General Secretary of the Sierra football Association, Christopher Kamara has reliably informed the public that he has instructed the Leone Stars Technical team headed by Coach John Keister that if they fail to submit the 28-players for AFCON today 30th December, 2021 as per CAF regulation the country stands to be given a 20,000 Dollars fine.

Chris Kamara made these clarifications responding to allegations on a radio sport programme that Coach John Keister had submitted his 28-players list 2 days ago to the Secretary General and President of the Sierra Leone Football Association ahead of CAF deadline which is schedule for 30th December, 2021.

However, it is the responsibility of the FA General Secretary to register the names of the players to the Confederation of African Football Association.

As a proactive measure, Kamara made the clarifications the he had informed the technical of the implications if the final list fails to reach CAF today.  He referred to people criticizing him as his capacity of General Secretary of the FA are doing such because they want to tarnish his image

What’s baffling many Sierra Leonean football fanatics is why the Leone Stars Technical team is dragging its feet to make the list known to the public and the Sierra Leone football Association.

However, the final list is expected to be released today.

As a result of the huge pressure from the football fans in the country. The Sierra Leone Football Association is set to release the finally list today.
