Former Leone Stars striker Kei Kamara has reacted to Leone Stars recent draw with Sao Tome in African Cup of Nations Qualifiers in Morocco.

Kamara posted on his social media accounts: “18th Years playing pro football and una nor want listen to me.” His statement sparked some reactions amongst Sierra Leoneans as it implies that despite his 18yrs professional experience they don’t want to heed to his advice.

Prior to the match Kei Kamara had questioned the absence of the Sierra Leonean American based striker Augustine Williams. Kei was a controversial player during his time playing for the national team. He is well known  for expressing his opinions about issues affecting the Sierra Leone  National Team.

Sierra Leone recently draw 2-2 with Sao Tome in Group A of the African Nations Cup Qualifiers on Wednesday 22nd  March 2023. Sao Tome opened the scoring before Mustapha Bund’s goal in the 47th minute in the second half of play.

Sao Tome later took the lead  with a second  goal in the 59th minutes of play and Abu Komeh scored scored in the 77th minute- to level the scores.
