Sierra Leone’s national football team, the Leone Stars, have safely arrived in Monrovia ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly return fixture against Liberia’s Lone Star at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Stadium.
The team touched down in high spirits following their narrow but significant 1-0 victory in the first leg, which was played at the Southern Arena in Bo City over the weekend.
Buoyed by that win, the Leone Stars remain focused and determined as they prepare to face their West African rivals once again, this time on Liberian soil. Team officials say the squad is fully concentrated and eager to deliver another strong performance to consolidate their dominance in the two-legged friendly series.
The return encounter is expected to draw a lively crowd at the SKD Stadium, with both sides looking to assert pride and build momentum ahead of future competitive fixtures.
