Mohamed Buya Turay is a 26- year old Sierra Leonean Professional Footballer who currently plays in the Chinese -Super League as a center -Forward for Henan Songshan Longmen. The Forward has made six appearance for the Sierra Leone national team, Leone Stars.

Like most Sierra Leonean kids, Buya started his footballing career in the streets of Freetown where he was reportedly spotted by local club, FC Mattia. Turay would later attract interest from clubs in Guinea and Liberia which subsequently led him to European football.

Buya first major international breakthrough came in 2018 where he was signed by Belgian Juplier Pro League Side Saint Truden. The deal was reportedly worth 1.80 million.

In 2019, He was later loaned to Djugarden where he finished the League’s Top Scorer with 15 goals to become the Sierra Leonean international to win Golden Boot in Sweden.

Buya is among the Strikers that was pivotal in helping Leone Stars to qualify for the upcoming AFCON in Cameroon.
