Malmö FF has agreed with striker Mohamed Buya Turay to terminate the player’s contract with immediate effect.

Mohamed Buya Turay came to Malmö FF in July 2022. During his time in MFF, the striker managed to score an Allsvenskan goal in ten games, as well as a goal in five games in qualifying and group games for the Europa League.

The reason why Malmö FF and Mohamed Buya Turay are now going their separate ways is the player’s family situation where Buya Turay did not live together with his wife and children in Sweden.

According to Daniel Andersson, Malmö FF Sports Manager, “Mohamed has been open with his feelings all the way and we have had a good dialogue together to try to resolve the situation. When it then dragged on, it finally became unsustainable for him and he feels that he cannot perform here and needs to go home to his family. It is of course sad when it happens like this, but this is the best solution for everyone involved.”
