Popular Businessman Martin Michael has relinquished his position as Vice Chairman of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association after serving for ten years.

He resigned from his position on Monday 12th December 2022.

In a letter he wrote to the chairman of the Association, Francis Samura states that “I write to tender my immediate resignation as Vice of the SLCA. I can no longer continue to offer my time and effort and I believe there are others more capable than me and with more time to be able to dedicate selfless service to the Association. I hope you and the rest of the Board members will work together for the benefit.”

Meanwhile, the Board and Management of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association-(SLCA) recently issued a press release on the 12th December 2022, expressing serious concern over the behaviour exhibited by its players at the Freetown International Airport in Lungi on Sunday 11th December 2022.

The team travelled safely from Rwanda and landed Home from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup sub-regional Africa B Qualifier in Kigali Rwanda from 30th November to 10th December 2022.
