The ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority have put out a press today Thursday 16th March, 2023 informing the public that the Leone Stars team has been
overwhelmed with incessant and unregulated visit to the team’s training by members of the public, especially politicians.
The Press release further admonishes that Leone Stars as the pride of Sierra Leone is the property of all Sierra Leoneans but the
Government is the main custodian through the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority.
The National Sports Authority strongly admonish the public, especially politicians who wish to visit the team at their training arena to do so through the National Sports Authority for proper coordination with the technical team.
The NSA further frowns at individual or group of individuals who unceremoniously visit the team and abruptly disrupt training sessions.

The Press Release came in the wake of the 2023 APC Flagbearer, Dr. Samura Kamara and his running mate honourable Chernor Bah paid visit to Leone Stars Training Session at the Municipal play ground in Freetown.
The APC leaders coverse briefly with the players and the technical team while observing them practice.
