Kallon shocked the football world when he decided to step in as the Head of the Technical side for his FC Kallon senior side at the CAF Confederation preliminary round against Buffles du Borgou from Benin. He led his side won both home and away in a star performance after winning 1-0 at home and a 3-0 win away in Benin and processed to the next round in 4-0 aggregate

Mohamed Kallon led his side to win 2-1 in a friendly match against a side from Liberia, the Invisible Eleven FC in Liberia.

Local sports pundits have described this move by the former footballer as a direct step in the right direction after he had failed twice in the bid to become the country’s FA president in 2013 and 2021 respectively.
