The friendly matches announcement of Leone Stars ahead of AFCON 2023 qualifiers was received with pleasure by Sierra Leoneans. These friendlies were organised to provide a way to strengthen the National Senior Menโ€™s team. SLFA held a meeting and concluded to hold the matches against Togo, Liberia and Congo Brazzavilee on the 24th, 27th and 29th March respectively.

According to Keister, the decision was made so that the big stars could create room for upcoming stars to showcase their football skills.
