Reliable sources have revealed that the former Coach of Kamboi Eagles and Bo Rangers, Alhaji Abedi Forray, is poised to become the new head coach of Ports Authority FC.
The announcement came in the wake of the Ports Authority Club’s decision to part ways with its entire coaching staff due to the poor performance of the team during the ongoing season.
Due to the pressing challenges faced by the team at the start of the season, on January 10, 2025, the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) made a strategic move by engaging their coach, technical team, and players in a crucial meeting.
During the meeting, management expressed their dissatisfaction with the team’s performance, emphasizing the urgent need for improved results in the upcoming matches, and called off the meeting with an adopted plan aimed at addressing their challenges.
While Ports Authority FC has not yet issued an official statement regarding the coaching change, insiders indicated that the management is looking for a fresh start after a challenging period for the team. The decision appears aimed at revitalizing the squad and improving performance moving forward.
Alhaji Abedi Forray, known for his tactical expertise and extensive experience within the Sierra Leone Premier League, is expected to be tasked with rebuilding the team and fostering stability. His previous roles with Kamboi Eagles and Bo Rangers suggested that he has the qualifications needed to lead Ports Authority FC through this transition.
