The chairman of Real Republicans Football Club has purchased a 35-seater bus for the team after ending their 14 years of absence in the Sierra Leone Premier League.
To facilitate the team’s movement, Chairman Bah has purchased a 35-seater bus. The bus was used to transport the team to Kenema last weekend for their match against Kamboi Eagles Football Club.
Under the leadership of Chairman Alhaji Umar Bah, the club aims to regain its former glory. Chairman Bah stated that the bus would “sanitize the transportation atmosphere for the club and facilitate easy movements.
He acknowledged the support Real Republicans FC has been receiving from its fans, however further called on them to take more ownership of the club.
“We appreciate their support so far and we encourage them to give more support to the club,” Chairman Bah remarked.
The Soccer Ambassadors currently sit in the 13th position on the log with 23 points in 20 outings and are set to host Luawa Football Club this weekend on Saturday, 29th April 2023 at the Angola field.
Real Republicans Football Club, one of the oldest and most successful teams in Sierra Leone, has returned to the Sierra Leone Premier League after a fourteen-year absence.
Real Republicans FC won the top-flight league championship three times, in 1981, 1983, and 1984.
The club has also reached the second round of the CAF Cup Winners’ Cup twice, in 1981 and 1988. Chairman Bah expressed his appreciation for the support of the club’s fans and called on them to take more ownership of the club.
