The Sierra Leone U-19 Cricket team have arrived in Dar Es Salaam ahead of an eight-day Division 1 World Cup Tournament in Tanzania.

The team is made up of Head Coach, Kenneth Masinga, team manager and 14 players.

The Sierra Leonean team made a brief stop in Accra before departing for the East African nation.

The Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) said the early departure will enable the players to understand the Tanzanian weather and playing conditions.

Sierra Leone will battle Kenya, Nigeria, Namibia, Nigeria, Uganda and host nation Tanzania in a scintillating contest.

Winner of the competition could secure a lone ticket for the U-19 Cricket World Cup.
