Sierra Leonean cyclists Ibrahim S. Jalloh and Mustapha Koroma have commenced their official training sessions at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The Dubai-based duo arrived in Scotland on Monday night from the United Arab Emirates and completed their accreditation process and mandatory bicycle inspections on Tuesday before gaining access to official track sessions.
Representing Sierra Leone under the national slogan, “One Country, One Spirit, One Goal,” both riders expressed confidence and determination as they prepare to compete against some of the world’s best cyclists.
“We are here to compete and face the challenge,” Jalloh said. “We are determined, and we will do our best to make our nation and Sierra Leoneans proud.”
Jalloh and Koroma are expected to represent Sierra Leone in the Men’s 4000m Individual Pursuit and Men’s Sprint events at the Commonwealth Games.
