Four Sierra Leonean women have been nominated for the Top 50 African Women in Sport.

The recognition is organized by the Africa Sports Ventures Group as a way of recognizing women’s contribution to the sporting sector of their countries.

Africa Sports Ventures Group is a for-profit Limited Liability Sports Solutions, Services and Business Corporation whose key purpose is to operate a portfolio of profit-making business ventures in any and every area that presents an opportunity it deems appropriate enough to earn revenue from, to meet its objectives.

These women nominated from Sierra Leone have served in different areas in the sports sector of the country.

Among them is the Minister of Sport Madam Augusta James Teima, former president of the Sierra Leone Football Association Isha Johansen, Eunice Claudia Barber a Sierra Leonean-French athlete, and Madam Naasu Fofonah who has also made a tremendous effort in the sports sector.
