The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has appointed Babadi Kamara, Chairman of Bo Rangers Football club as team manager of the Sierra Leone National team, Leone Stars ahead of the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon 2022.

Until his appointment, Kamara has been at the forefront of promoting and supporting sporting activities in Sierra Leone.

He was part of the team who followed the Leone Stars team to Guinea to motivate them ahead of their final qualifying match against Benin.

The statement from the Sierra Leone Football Association reads;

“The Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association, as part of preparation ahead of the TotalEnergies AFCON Cameroon 2021 in January next year, has today approved the appointment of Mr. Babadi Kamara as the new Team Manager of the Sierra Leone National Men’s Team – Leone Stars.

“Babadi Kamara who is also the Chairman of Bo Rangers Football Club is expected to commence work in his new office effective immediately as his contract, which is subject to renewal, will come to an end on July 31st 2023.
“Consequently, the general public is hereby encouraged to refer to Mr. Babadi Kamara all matters relating to Leone Stars with effect from the date of this press release to the end of his contract as stated in paragraph 2 above”
