The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially presented FIFA badges to ten referees and assistant referees who have been approved by FIFA to officiate international matches in 2025.
The presentation ceremony took place on Thursday, 13th February 2025, at the SLFA Secretariat in Kingtom, Freetown. The group of ten consists of six male referees and four female referees.
Speaking on behalf of the SLFA, Acting General Secretary Ing. Mohamed Benson Bawoh congratulated the referees and urged them to uphold the highest standards of integrity in their officiating. He emphasized the importance of fairness and professionalism and encouraged them to consistently demonstrate excellence and integrity in their assignments.

This recognition marks a significant milestone in the development of refereeing in Sierra Leone, as these officials will now have the opportunity to represent the country on the international stage.
