The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially unveiled the fixture schedule for the national team’s upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) PAMOJA 2027 qualification campaign.
The Leone Stars will face a challenging group stage featuring matchups against Zimbabwe, Equatorial Guinea, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The campaign, which will determine qualification for Africa’s premier football tournament, is set to span from late September 2026 through March 2027.
The qualifying schedule opens on Matchday 1 with Sierra Leone hosting Zimbabwe between September 21 and October 6, 2026. The Leone Stars will then travel to face Equatorial Guinea in the same window.

Matchday 3 and 4 will take place from November 9 to 17, 2026, with Sierra Leone facing Congo DR away before hosting the return fixture.
The final round of qualifiers is scheduled for March 22 to 30, 2027. Sierra Leone will travel to Zimbabwe before concluding the group stage at home against Equatorial Guinea.

The SLFA has called on fans to rally behind the team throughout the campaign.
“Every match is a crucial step in our quest to qualify for Africa’s biggest football tournament,” the association said in a statement.
Sierra Leone last qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022, appearing in the tournament in Cameroon.
