Following the sad event of the death of former Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President, Nahum Khadi on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the Management and staff of the SLFA have released a statement.
In the release, SLFA expresses their sadness on the passing of the Former President. The association furthered by explaining some of the roles the late Khadi played whilst he was serving as the president of SLFA.
“Before he was elected as SLFA President in 2004, Khadi played for the Sierra Leone National football team Leone Stars during the sixties and seventies and also represented several top tier local football clubs including two of the country’s biggest and most popular FCs; East End Lions and Mighty Blackpool.”, the SLFA said.
The association also mentioned how he has impacted Sierra Leone football both as a player and part of the administration.
“His impact in Sierra Leone Football both as a player and a football administrator will forever be remembered.” the statement was quoted as saying.
In the end, SLFA sends their deepest condolences from the President Thomas Daddy Brima, Executive Committee, and the General Secretariat to the Khadi family and friends. They wish them peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow.
