The newly elected President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Thomas Daddy Brima has yesterday departed Freetown for Morocco.

He travelled to Morocco to attend his first CAF Member Association President meeting scheduled for Saturday the 17th July, 2021 in Casablanca, Morocco.

At the end of the deliberations on Saturday, the SLFA President together with his colleagues and CAF President Patrice Motsepe will witness the Total Energies CAF Champions League Final between South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs and Egypt’s Al Ahly at the Stade Mohamed (V) in Casablanca, Morocco.

Brima was elected as the President for Sierra Leone Football Association on Saturday 5th June, 2021 at the Wusum hotel in Makeni. He is a renowned businessman and Chairman of Western Area-based second division club Lumley Striker and has been in football management for a little over a decade.

He won 31 votes to overcome his rival Saddick Deen-Nyarkoh, who achieved 26 ballots and will replace the outgoing Fifa Council member Isha Johansen, who has been in power since elected unopposed in August 2013.

President Brima, who has safely arrived in Casablanca this morning, is expected to reunite with his predecessor Madam Isha Johansen who is currently a Member of the FIFA Council and CAF Executive Committee.
