The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has contacted Reading midfielder, Tyrese Fornah for him to represent the Leone Stars ahead of the 2024 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The 23-year-old was born in England to a father from Sierra Leone and a Ghanaian mother. The midfielder is yet to be capped internationally by any country.

According to sportsworldghana.com, Sierra Leone approached Fornah to ditch Ghana’s dreams. However, the Player is yet to respond to SLFA.

Fornah is a defensive central midfielder, and his tackling skills and high work ethic have impressed both of the Western African football associations.

He made his professional debut for Forest in a third-round FA Cup defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in January 2022.
