The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has secured a major financial boost for domestic football after signing a new sponsorship deal worth NLe 4,127,994.00 with Leone Rock Metal Group for the upcoming 2026/27 Sierra Leone Premier League season.
The formal signing ceremony took place in Freetown, drawing top government ministers and leading figures from across Sierra Leone’s sports hierarchy. SLFA Vice President 1, Alie Badara Tarawallie, represented the football governing body alongside key officials, including Minister of Sports Madam Augusta James-Teima, Minister of Youth Affairs Ibrahim Sannoh, Executive Director of the National Sports Authority Mohamed Alphaka Conteh Esq., and Chairman of the Premier League Board Osman Tommy.
The agreement marks the fourth consecutive season that Leone Rock Metal Group has stepped forward as the primary benefactor of the country’s top-flight league. Demonstrating the mining giant’s expanding support for local sports, the sponsorship package has increased in financial value in each of the four seasons.

SLFA leadership noted that the fresh injection of capital will go directly toward the organisation, management, and operational delivery of the 2026/27 league campaign. The partnership aims to strengthen administrative standards, bolster financial sustainability for participating clubs, and elevate the overall quality of top-tier football across the nation.
Expressing appreciation to Leone Rock Metal Group for its ongoing backing, SLFA representatives highlighted the partnership as a benchmark for private-sector corporate responsibility and sports investment in Sierra Leone. Both organisations expressed confidence that the upcoming season will build on the momentum of previous years to further develop local talent.
