The General Secretary of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Christopher Kamara has led a delegation to Guinea, Conakry to conclude arrangements For Leone Stars to host matches in the Country.

The Four officials are in Conakry on the use of the  Lansana Conte  Stadium for Sierra Leone’s home matches in the AFCON  qualifiers. They had a brief meeting with Sierra Leone Deputy Ambassador in Guinea. Deputy Ambassador H.E Hamid Taal.

Leone Stars is expected to play the 2023 AFCON qualification matches in the stade General Lansana Conte Stadium in Conakry.

Leone Star’s first Afcon Home Matches will be played against Guinea-Bissau. Lansana Conte Stadium in Conakry is where Sierra Leone booked its 2021 AFCON qualification to Cameroon.

Leone Stars will commence their race for a ticket to Cote d’Ivoire against the Super Eagles.

The Sierra Leone senior national team will kick off their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign against Nigeria, the Sierra Leone Football Association has confirmed.

According to the draw held on Tuesday in Johannesburg which was steered by the Confederation of African Football director of competitions Samson Adamu and assisted by South African football great Lucas Radebe and former Chelsea star Salomon Kalou, the three-time African kings were zoned in Group A alongside the Leone Stars, Guinea Bissau as well as Sao Tome and Principe.
