Two Sierra Leonean Swimmers Joshua Wyse and Isha Bangura has failed to progress in their first appearance in the Commonwealth swimming competition.

The pair were in Heat 1 of their event as they are set made their debut in the competition.

Sierra Leone first participation in the Commonwealth Games ended poorly for Joshua Wyse as he finished 5th in the Men’s #50m Butterfly with a time of 29.71 sec. Wyse was usable to near his 29.01 sec he entered the competition.

Meanwhile while, Isha Kanu failed to match her 45.35sec in the Women’s #50m Breastroke to clock 48.66 sec in#Heat1 of her debut Games.

Together with the other members of the Sierra Dolphins, Isha has been training intensively at the Aberdeen Beach for the past months since the closure of the Siaka Stevens stadium swimming complex for renovation early this year.
