Wigan Athletics Coach, Reacts to Alleged Steven Caulker Departure
Morlai Ibrahim Kamara New Wigan Athletic Coach, Shaun Maloney has denied claims by some media outlets that Steven Caulker has departed Wigan Athletics.
According to FSL Sports, the coach states that “He trained this morning, ” said Maloney to the official club website.
He did the part session and part rehab. He will be due back training tomorrow like everyone else.”
Maloney was appointed on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with Graham Barrow and Max Rogers joining the Club’s backroom staff
Caulker, who has been capped 10 times by Sierra Leone after defecting to the country of his grandfather’s birth, England, will now be ineligible to feature for another club this season having already played for two teams. He appeared seven times for the Turkish outfit Fatih Karagümrük earlier in the campaign but had his deal terminated by mutual consent in December.
