Sierra Leonean forward Yayah Kallon is in high spirit ahead of new season with Genoa in Italian Serie B which gets underway in August.

Kallon is hoping to motivate Genoa to secure a quick return to Serie A after being relegated at the end of last season.Kallon is currently  in high intensive training ahead of the new season with the blue and red Griffon.

Recent Transfer ranking position the 21-year-old as the most expensive player from Sierra Leone. Yayah ranks number 1 with a €2.1M value.

Yayah Kallon is a Shadow striker and currently plays forward for Genoa. The 21 years is 175 cm tall. His preferred foot is left, and jersey number is 20.

Genoa, commonly referred  to as the Grifone are the oldest professional football club in Italy, originally founded in 1893.

Genoa won nine Serie A titles, including the very first in 1898, but the most recent was in 1924, effectively before the tournament took the form it has today.They also lifted the Coppa Italia trophy in 1937 and the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1996.

Genoa were relegated into Serie B after 15 years, while their rivals Sampdoria celebrated top flight safety.

Their 3-0 defeat to Napoli practically sealed their fate in the 2022/2021 season.

Kallon  has been under the radar of  Leone Stars  Coach John  Keister but the  forward is yet to make a decision when to start  representing  Sierra  Leone  in International  competitions.
