Genoa’s striker, Yayah Kallon will be available for Leone Stars selection next year. This is according to Sierra Leone Premier League Update.

The sturdy striker was born in Koidu, Eastern Sierra Leone but started his professional career at Serie D side, Savona. A year later he attracted the attention of Genoa due to his strength and agility.

The 21-year-old striker scored his first goal for Genoa in 2021 Coppa Italia win over Perugia after making his debut in Serie A that same season.

The striker is currently on loan to Serie A side, Hellas Verona with an option to sign a permanent deal with the Venetian team.

Kallon’s allegiance to Sierra Leone was confirmed earlier this week when he met with Leone Stars legend, Mohamed Kallon and his team FC Kallon in Viareggio.

Sport analysts believe Yayah’s selection could end Leone Stars attacking woes after the team performed abysmally against São Tomé and Principé in African Cup of Nations (AfCON) qualifiers on Wednesday evening.
