Position Summary

Sierraloaded is looking to hire a Photo Editor & Photographer who would create branded visual content for our digital platforms and clients’ projects – this includes news photos, commercials, documentaries, special features, etc.

Sierraloaded is an online media company based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. It primarily focuses on delivering news, music, videos, and entertainment content related to Sierra Leone and the broader African continent.

Sierraloaded is known for promoting Sierra Leonean artists and providing updates on local and international events. It aims to be a hub for Sierra Leonean culture and entertainment, reaching a diverse audience both within the country and abroad. We are the platform leading in reach – with over 3 million users on our platforms to date.

In addition, we produce content and creative digital PR and marketing solutions for top brands.  We’re empowering brands with our expansive media reach and 360-degree in-house marketing solutions.

This position will be based in our Freetown office, reporting to the Head of Content.

Duties and Responsibilities

• – Photography sourcing and creative production
• – Help establish a distinctive brand voice through the creation, selection and use of strong visual imagery.
• – Source and/or develop images for a variety of needs
• – Partner with other team members to shape projects.
• – Occasionally go on assignments to produce high-quality photographs

Desired Skills & Experience

• – Cognate experience in Photography/Photojournalism
• – Be highly organized, efficient and reliable.
• – Work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining the highest-quality standard.
• – Good communication and a team player Capability to arrange and prioritize tasks efficiently, adeptly multitasking through effective time management.
• – Ability to work and maintain tight deadlines.
• – Ability to work with various camera equipment
• – Exceptional Adobe Photoshop Skills
