FAO, Ministry of Lands Engage Customary Land Owners in Bo and Makeni
Mohamed Aruna The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in partnership with the Ministry Of Lands, Housing and Country Planning have organised a conference for customary land owners in Makeni and Bo respectively.
The engagement was focused on the enactment of the customary land act 2022, in improving and heightening the awareness on the act within different parts of the country.
The land owners according to them need to fully understand the document and its dictates as that may also assist in the many issues related to land in the country.
It is also recorded that, the government of Sierra Leone has signed a tripartite agreement with the food and agriculture organization (FAO) which may assist in facilitating a south-south cooperation project with Vietnam to strengthen the rice chain in Sierra Leone.
