The newly elected Mayors and Members of Parliament (MPs) from Sierra Leone’s main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC), have declared their intent to abstain from participating in the governance processes of the state.
This decision follows a resolution made by the APC’s National Advisory Committee during a meeting held on June 30th, 2023, as stated in the party’s press release.
The resolution, which was released on the same day as the meeting, clearly outlined the party’s decision not to partake in any level of governance in Sierra Leone.
The elected representatives of the APC in Parliament have wholeheartedly endorsed this position and have vowed to abstain from participating in the country’s 6th Parliament until their party’s demands are met.
These folks don’t want peace in this country. But one thing I surely know is that, you guys don’t have place to report.

You don’t think anything good and positive about country, you or without you in parliament, we will still run the country, so be prepared to be jobless for the next five years and even more. I pity the fools who are supporting you and I regret been born in an APC family.
That’s great decision to help save our hard earned democracy! I see nothing wrong for the ECSL to publish the disaggregated polling data station by station, that will help launder their already tainted image. All through my life, I have never seen or heard an election so much discredited and condemned like this one under the leadership of Konneh…shame to ECSL!!!
The apc is full of misguided rebels, these human fairy and devil incarnate should not be treated as humans but as beasts, because they are concerned with their aggrandisement for self-interest.
But they are toothless bulldogs, very soon we will hear their hoax ranting of them resolving to participate in Governance, they’re shameless poppycocks.

There a place to complain. That is why when foday sankoh did not feel like he got justice, he took the gun. Is that how you want people to put their complaint? I think not. Words carry heavy weight. Thank God I am not in Sierra Leone to withstand this mess.
Let them stay out, it will be an opportunity for those who demand the said position. All the SLPP who lost to the APC are well prepared to replace them in the well of Parliament.
This decision by the APC is not about the past election but the 2028 general election. APC will die in opposition by God’s grace.
That’s a good idea for the team A APC Mami cause PPP party but this is not the first time people to boycott in governance in Sierra Leone it happened during the days of Siaka Steven the founder of APC so if its repeated again during president Bio regime there is no problem about that and the APC will becoming more irrelevant to State because they preferred their ambition than the people that voted them in.
I don’t think this is time for condemnation, this is time for peace and could such peace exist? *YES*.it’s by accepting the opposition’s requests and look into it and then move on as a democratic state.BUT CONDEMNING CAN LEAD TO PROVOCATION AND PROVOCATION AT TIMES LEADS TO MADNESS AND MADNESS LEADS TO DESTRUCTIONS. IS THIS WHAT SIERRA LEONE WANTS?I THINK THE ANSWER IS A BIG NO.
Simply mean we are opprorating in a single political party no more elections in our beloving Country.

Are they doing this for APC or for the people that voted them in? Is there any data manifesting that, that decision is made by the people? If not, then I see no respect for the people ut for the party. Politicians should start manifesting their loyalty to the people and not their unstructured parties.
