Sierra Leone Police Sacked Over Kush Dealings
Binta Koroma Police constable 5614 Sawyerr Williams has been sacked by the Sierra Leone Police for selling Kush.
He was arrested together with eight others during an intensive raid operation by the Anti-Drug Unit within the terrain of Freetown.
Police disclose that the accused was caught with seventy-two (72) wraps of Kush, three pairs of scissors and a sum of one thousand three hundred and eighty-nine Leones (NLe 1,389.00) from his room at Grafton.
According to AIG Martin Senesie, the accused police will soon be charged to court. He said that they are prepared to clamp down kush dealers and manufacturers regardless of their status or position in the society, adding that this should serve as a warning to the nation.
The High rates of kush intake remained a disturbing phenomenon that threatens the lives of meaningful Sierra Leoneans.
In an effort to tackle this problem, the Sierra Leone police has launched operations target in a tough stance against kush dealings. Officers are using local intelligence and raids on suspects as part of the ongoing operations.
There have been series of raids on Kush addicts and dealers and a huge number of arrests has been made. According to Brima James Musa, Sub-Inspector and Media Officer tagged in Kenema, Kailahun and Kono, a total of twenty nine suspects have been convicted and fifty at the Magistrate court after a total of 90 raids in Kenema, Kailahun, Tongo, Kono, Tankoro and Daru.
Large Arrests were also made in the western area, North-east and Southern region, according to the police.

The police officers should carryout the raids at Wallace Johnson Street back of SLRTC bus halt towards the Old metropolis office, the king Jimmy and swasiggy, Jui lumbley and Wilberforce parks them their seriousness will be reckoned with.
For me ,the police should have created a rehabilitation center to detained kush dealer and consumer we’re in they will give them a rehabilitation, . medical and any others training for them to forget about drugs, but still that center should be a detaining environment, rather than prison, cause putting all drugs pedlar in prison will not solve are society push against drug, they need a rehab, center to help them stay out of drugs.
