Five in Police Net For Allegedly Stealing ESDA Cables in Kenema
Mohamed Aruna The Sierra Leone Police have disclosed that five individuals are currently in their net who are suspects of allegedly stealing several rolls of aluminum cables from a store in Kenema.
The incident, according to reports happened in a town called Hangha on September 20th, 2023, in Nongowa Chiefdom. The items are claimed to have been properties of the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) which were stored at a particular location in the town.
Previous reports indicated that a town chief and police officer was implicated in the incident.
The police noted that, all the suspects and exhibits are at the Kenema police station while the regional criminal investigation department continues their investigation on the matter and soon get to the public on their findings.
