The Campaign for Human Rights & Development International (CHRDI), a non-profit organization in Sierra Leone, has partnered with the Sierra Leone Police to provide training for 70 police officers on human rights in law enforcement.

The training, which is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Freetown, will focus on “Best Practices and Principles” in human rights.

The partnership aims to equip police officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold human rights in their daily operations. The training is expected to enhance the capacity of police officers to perform their duties while respecting the rights of citizens.

By providing this training, CHRDI and the Sierra Leone Police demonstrate their commitment to promoting human rights and the rule of law in Sierra Leone.

The initiative is expected to contribute to improved policing and enhanced trust between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.
